For most people, they’d prefer to leave the battery uncharged and on the phone while they embark on this journey.
This should however not be so. If you are certain that you wouldn’t be needing your phone while you travel, the best thing is for you to charge the phone to at least half-full or the 50% mark.
Once the battery is half-charged, remove it from the phone and store it in a dry place.
Normally, the battery charge dissipates between 5 to 10% every month, so you should be able to recharge the battery after some few months in order to keep it in good shape.
If the battery goes dead, that’s completely at 0% for a very long time, it is likely not to hold any charges anymore.
